Location: Newham

Salary: £165-£240 per day

Are you passionate about music education? Do you thrive on inspiring the next generation of musicians? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a Music Teacher at our coeducational secondary school in Newham.

Music Teacher Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive music lessons to students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Create and implement innovative lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their musical talents.
  • Develop students' musical skills, knowledge, and appreciation through a range of activities, including instrumental instruction, ensemble performance, and music theory.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate school-wide music events, performances, and extracurricular activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in music education, incorporating new technologies and teaching methodologies into lessons.

Music Teache Job Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Music Education.
  • Proven experience teaching music at the secondary level, with a track record of student achievement.
  • Strong proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument and knowledge of music theory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for music education.
  • Commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
