Job Title: Payroll & Absence Assistant (Hybrid – Temp to Perm)
Location: Finsbury PArk (Hybrid: Office-based Mondays & Wednesdays)Contract: Temporary to PermanentWorking Pattern: Monday to Friday (Hybrid) - 8:30am-5pm. 37.5 hrs per weekPay: £12.12 ph PAYE or umbrella rate available as well
We’re on the lookout for a proactive and detail-driven Payroll & Absence Assistant to join our team in a hybrid role, working from the office two days a week (Monday and Wednesday), with the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the week.
This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with strong admin skills, ideally with some payroll experience, and confident in Excel.
Key Responsibilities:

Support payroll processing tasks, including data entry and updating records.

Maintain accurate tracking of staff absences including sickness, holidays, and other types of leave.

Use Excel to manage, track, and report on payroll and absence data (advanced Excel skills a plus).

Assist with general administrative duties across payroll and HR functions.

Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth flow of information and compliance with procedures.
What We’re Looking For:

Solid administrative experience (payroll experience preferred but not essential).

Strong Excel skills—comfortable working with spreadsheets, formulas, and data sets.

High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Good communication and organizational skills.
