As a Payroll Officer, you will handle a variety of responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of our payroll processes. Your tasks will include:

  • Processing new starters, leavers, and adjustments such as salary deductions.
  • Calculating salary variations including increases, back-pay, and statutory payments like holiday, sick, and maternity pay.
  • Managing monthly records and processing for benefits such as season tickets and cycle-to-work schemes.
  • Ensuring compliance with auto-enrolment regulations and managing pension contributions effectively.
  • Maintaining meticulous records for audit purposes and ensuring compliance with all statutory legislation.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has substantial experience (3-5 years) in managing UK payrolls, ideally within a demanding environment.
  • Possesses strong numerical skills and proficiency in MS Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables.
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational and communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with HMRC, key stakeholders, and external payroll providers.
  • Shows a proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Experience with ADP iHCM or similar payroll systems is highly desirable, as is familiarity with international payroll processes.
