We are seeking a Payroll Officer with a robust background in end-to-end payroll processing and experience handling high-volume payrolls. This role requires a confident individual who can use their initiative and has excellent knowledge of payroll systems, ideally including MegaPay, but this is not essential. This temporary position offers hybrid working arrangements and has the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

Day to day of the role:
  • Processing end-to-end payroll in a high-volume, multi-payroll environment.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of payroll.
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee queries.
  • Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures.
  • Updating payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
  • Preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
  • Maintaining employee confidence and protecting payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in payroll processing and high-volume payrolls.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, with a preference for candidates experienced in MegaPay, but not essential if you have good systems experience.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
