Payroll Specialist | Global PR Agency | London

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a leading global strategic communications agency on a Payroll Specialist position. Turning over £500mill+ globally and a headcount of 1,200 across 27 offices worldwide, they offer expert advice in corporate communications, financial communications, crisis management, and public affairs.

Operating across major financial and political hubs in Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia, they help organisations navigate complex challenges and communicate effectively with stakeholders around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC regulations and RTI reporting.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new starters, leavers, and amendments.
  • Manage statutory payments (SMP, SPP, SSP) and ensure correct calculations.
  • Reconcile payroll data with finance and HR systems to ensure consistency.
  • Liaise with external payroll providers to ensure smooth processing.
  • Respond to employee payroll queries and provide support on payslips, deductions, and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with pensions auto-enrolment legislation and administer pension contributions.
  • Assist with year-end payroll processes, including P60s and P11Ds.
  • Keep up to date with changes in payroll legislation and share relevant updates with the team.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on payroll journals, reporting, and budgeting.
  • Support internal audits and ensure payroll processes are aligned with company policies.

Essential Skills:

  • 2+ years' experience in a payroll position
  • ADP software experience
  • Engaging and excellent communication skills
  • Sense of humour / positive approach to work and problem solving

Bonus Skills:

  • PR Agency / Communications experience

Salary: £38-50K

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Central London (2-3 days WFH)
