Excellent opportunity to join a successful firm of accountants in the City as Senior Payroll Assistant. Salary to £40k + comprehensive benefits package. Hybrid working after 3 months.

If you have at least 3 years' experience as a Payroll Assistant in professional services (accountancy firm or similar eg. law firm, surveyors, management consultancy), this could be the ideal opportunity for you to progress your career to the next level. Working in a Payroll team of 7, duties include -

  • Processing weekly and monthly payroll for a range of clients in a timely manner including calculating absence and deductions
  • Updating employee details including statutory changes
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge on payroll policies and legislation
  • Responding to queries
  • Working on a range of payroll projects

You will need a minimum of 3 years' experience in Payroll plus the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and professional environment with a high level of discretion. You will also need good Excel and Word skills, a positive, proactive and flexible attitude as well as excellent communication skills.
