An exciting opportunity has arisen for a up and coming Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer to join a dynamic team within a dynamic investment bank. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the business improve and evolve its Anti-Money Laundering framework, ensuring the highest standards of conduct are maintained.

What you'll do:

As a Compliance Officer and MLRO, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of conduct. You will liaise closely with our head office, providing crucial support in implementing internal norms and controls. Your keen eye for detail will be invaluable as you monitor AML/CTF related activities, review high risk account opening requests, and guide us through KYC processes. Your role will also involve preparing for audits, inspections, and effectiveness tests on our AML/CTF policies. As our representative to judicial, police, and supervisory authorities in the UK, your communication skills will be key.

* Liaise with head office regarding current and future compliance requirements

* Support the implementation of internal norms and controls for effective management of money laundering and terrorist financing risks

* Regularly monitor AML/CTF related activities

* Review new high risk account opening requests and provide guidance on KYC and other customer processes

* Support the preparation and execution of internal and external audits, inspections by supervisors, as well as effectiveness tests on AML/CTF policies, procedures and controls

* Ensure centralisation of all relevant information from various areas of business

* Act as interlocutor of judicial, police and supervisory authorities in the UK

* Oversee firm's compliance with FCA's rules on systems and controls against money laundering

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Compliance Officer and MLRO role will bring a wealth of experience in AML/CTF and fraud fields. With an educational background in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or Audit, you will have a deep understanding of the financial services industry and the AML/CTF regime. Your knowledge of relevant local laws and regulations will be crucial in this role, as will your experience in FCA regulated roles. You will also need a good understanding of investment banking products. Your strong organisational skills will enable you to prioritise tasks effectively within a team environment.

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in AML/CTF, fraud fields

* Educational background in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Audit

* Knowledge of financial services industry and AML/CTF regime

* Understanding of relevant local laws and regulations

* Experience in FCA regulated roles essential

* Good understanding of investment banking products

* Strong organisational skills: team player capable of prioritising tasks

* Risk oriented with strong analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work autonomously

* Strong work ethic and commitment
