The Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch is a 5-star property that combines the grandeur of a Grade2 listed Baroque style building with laid-back personalized service, forming the perfect alchemy. We are located in the centre of Shoreditch, famed for its buzzing nightlife and eccentric charm.

Our facilities consist of 128 guest rooms and suites, a unique restaurant concept, 3 bars including a roof top bar, 11 event spaces, a 196-seat screening room, 2 lane bowling alley, luxurious spa, swimming pool and fitness centre.

We are currently looking for a passionate Bar Supervisor to join our team. The Bar Supervsior will be responsible of our F&B outlets: Jailhouse Bar, Rooftop Terrace and our Private Members Bar.

The Bar Supervisor ensures that the first and last impression our guests encounter sets a standard of warmth, welcoming, communication, energy and spirit.

Direct Report’s Responsibility

•Implement revenue generating ideas consistently.

•Operate with constant floor presence and guest contact.

•Assure product quality and consistency is maintained.

•Promote inter-company business relations…share best practices.

•Perform training and evaluations with designated core responsible employees.

•Promote guest satisfaction throughout the operation with continued training of staff.

•Participate actively in the training programmes.

Activities

•Provide support and guidance in each revenue centre to achieve or exceed budgeted revenue and net operating income goals.

•Develop and implement action items to achieve revenue goals.

•Ensure labour and expense guidelines are adhered to in order to maintain budgeted expenses.

•Establish and enforce property specific Standard Operating Procedures.

•Institute and monitor service and/or product upgrades in order to maintain the company’s competitive edge.

•Implement repeat guest recognition programs to build loyalty to the operation.

•Meet with bar staff (one on ones) and employees (focus groups, staff meetings) to evaluate their goals, objectives and potential.

•Develop a coaching relationship with all direct reports and perform at least two team-coaching sessions per year for supervisors team.

•Be bold and innovative in approaching our business. Take risks.

•Based on shared responsibility and leadership…unifying the talent and energy of each member of the team.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

•Relative experience in similar capacity and establishments within the last 2 years.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

•Ability to read, write and speak fluently

REASONING ABILITY:

•Ability to apply common sense, define problems, collect data and notify and advise senior management when necessary. Ability to successfully re-prioritize tasks in a moment’s notice.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES required:

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Customer service oriented with an outgoing, upbeat and positive personality.

•Leadership qualities and professional well-groomed appearance.
