A big 4 accounting firm are looking for a new Trainee Tax Assistant to join a close-knit team in Guernsey.

They are looking for an engaged and motived post-graduate wanting to start a new successful career in Tax. Joining the Guernsey office allows you work with fascinating clients and gain invaluable industry experience, away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

The salary will start at £32,000 p/a.

They offer ICAEW or ACCA training contracts to motivated students who want to start a career where they can have a positive impact on their community whilst developing deep expertise and working with industry leaders.

You will be given formal structured professional study support, receive rewards as you pass exams and be exposed to industry leaders as you develop deep expertise of our Financial Services clients.

With such a wide-ranging remit, Tax can offer a variety of challenging and high profile projects as part of a stimulating graduate career - and our programme is an excellent foundation for that. Tackling challenges at the heart of client organisations, you'll develop a broad commercial understanding whilst gaining valuable technical skills and professional qualifications

You will be:

  • Supporting senior team leaders with data collection tasks.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of client work.
  • Meeting and forming connections with industry leaders.
  • Proactively engaging in high-quality industry-standard training.

You must have:

  • 5 GCSE's with Grades A-C (including English and Mathematics).
  • 3 A-Levels at Grade BBC or above (or 112 UCAS points equivalent).
  • A 2:1 Degree or higher or equivalent.
  • Ability to work using initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
