Head Bartender – GONG Bar

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head Bartender to join our team in GONG, our award-winning bar located within the Shangri-La Hotel on the 52nd floor of The Shard. With 20 signature cocktails on our menu, (not including the classics!) and a selection of wonderful dishes, we embody luxury and Asian influence in a fast-paced, high expectations environment.

To administrate overall operations of the Bar Department. To maximize profits, maintain food / beverage / service quality and ensure customer satisfaction. To ensure guest service levels according to food and beverage brand standards. As a Head Bartender, he/she is able to plan out and track the bar’s beverage strategy sales strategy.

To direct, implement and maintain a service and leadership philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff. To assist the manager in order to ensure the proper functioning of all phases of F&B service in areas under manager’s control. It should be noted that Service Managers can be designated in charge of any area at any time and therefore must have a full and comprehensive working knowledge of all areas within the Food and Beverage Division.

To be accountable in the delivery of the Shangri-La experience behaviours across the respective department and hotel and to ensure that the behaviours are followed through by our colleagues.

What we are looking for?

We are looking for someone with a pleasant & welcoming manner.

Knowledge of food and beverage systems.

Additional languages.

Experience in a luxury 5* hotel.

Flexible & adaptable to different working conditions.

Certificate/ Diploma in Food and Beverage/ Hospitality Management

Computer Knowledge

You will have:

Immaculate appearance.

Oral & written fluency in English.

Relevant experience within a similar environment.

Be motivated & a self-starter.

Have a positive attitude.
