We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of pastries, desserts. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.
Duties:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, desserts, and breads according to established recipes and standards
- Decorate pastries using various techniques to create visually appealing presentations
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed to maintain freshness and quality
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute pastry orders in a timely manner
- Monitor inventory levels of pastry ingredients and notify the Chef or Sous Chef when supplies need to be replenished
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist in training new pastry team members as needed
Experience:
Two Rosettes:Â The chef must show greater technical skill, more consistency and judgement in combining and balancing ingredients, and have a clear ambition to achieve high standards.
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen or bakery setting
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently produce high-quality pastries
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper sanitation procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity and attention to detail in pastry decoration
