As a Credit Control Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our company receives timely payments from businesses and customers, working from their city of Manchester (central) location on a hybrid basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Credit Assessments: You'll evaluate customer creditworthiness based on industry standards, making informed decisions on approvals or denials.
- Payment Negotiations: Work closely with clients to set up favourable payment plans and establish clear terms and conditions.
- Debt Recovery: Chase outstanding invoices and book debts via phone, email, and letters, adhering to an agreed-upon schedule.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, tracking payments and interactions.
- Legal Proceedings: If necessary, initiate legal actions against clients who fail to pay their debts promptly
I'm looking for candidates who possess:
- 2+ years experience in a similar position.
- Strong Communication Skills: You'll interact with clients, customers, and colleagues, so effective communication is essential.
- Basic Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel will be beneficial.
