路 Managing of accounts assignments
路 Overseeing of job planning and completion
路 Being a key point of contact for the client, covering liaison with clients on organisation of the work and work requirements, as well as advising the client on matters generally, plus being a key part of the client relationship team
路 Oversee and manage the on the job team on a job by job basis
路 Review the teams work
路 Report to partners on individual jobs
路 Attend and hold client meetings
路 Assist with managing the accounts team generally and overall job planning and scheduling
路 Assist with staff management, training, development and appraisals generally
路 Be involved in other ad hoc advisory and support assignments for clients
Profile
A successful Accounts Manager should have:
- Commercially minded and analytical when reviewing and preparing figures and information
- Experience of working within an accountancy practice at this level or similar for at least 2 years.
- Can demonstrate areas of overseeing workload, planning and reviewing.
- Confident in managing and tracking Seniors work.
- Be able to communicate well and have strong client facing skills.
- Have knowledge and experience of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and Excel
- Able to respond well to balancing work loads.
- Can work well in a team and with a wide range of people
- Be organised and methodical and have strong analytical and project management skills.
- Proactive and able to take the initiative.
- Able to motivate and inspire colleagues.
- Well presented with a professional manner.
- Have a good business awareness.
- Be able to work within a budget.
