Director position within a fast-growing Accountancy & Advisory Practice offering responsibility for managing day to day operations and an opportunity to lead the future growth and success of the firm.

This successful growing Accountancy & Advisory Practice has a modern and progressive culture and has quickly established an excellent reputation as advisor to SME and Owner-Managed businesses across Manchester. The firm continues to grow its client base and fee income through a strong brand and a constant flow of referrals from existing clients. Strong future growth is forecast (20% YOY) and a unique career opportunity now exists for an experienced Qualified Accountant.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Joining the Practice as a Director you will play a lead role in managing the firm on a daily basis, setting high standards within the practice operations and overseeing a large client portfolio. Reporting to the Managing Director you will be critical to the firm's long-term future, fully supporting practice growth and ensuring clients needs are met in full.

As a Director, Accountancy & Advisory Services your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of SME and Owner-Managed clients (c.£100k - £5m t/o), working closely with business owners and meeting regularly to discuss business progress and performance
  • Managing a large Accounts & Advisory team, overseeing delivery of VAT / Bookkeeping, Management Accounts, Year End Accounts and Corporate Tax Returns to clients
  • Advising ambitioys growing clients, providing a Fractional FC / FD solution - preparing Management Accounts, Business Analysis reports, Cashflow Forecasts and offering general business advice to clients
  • Handling staff appraisals and reviews, managing budgets and delivering growth in client work and revenue

THE PERSON

You will be an Accountancy professional able to demonstrate the following:

  • ACA / ACCA Qualified
  • Background within Accountancy Practice (c.7 - 10 years), with particular focus on advising SME and Owner-Managed businesses
  • Experience of General Accountancy Practice Services (Accounts / VAT / Tax) in addition to Management Accounts, Cashflow Forecasts and Business Advisory work in relation to growing SMEs
  • Experienced in the use of Xero and other Cloud Accounting systems
  • Ambition and career drive to progress within a versatile growing Accountancy & Advisory Firm.
