Head of Business Accounting

Your new companyYou will be joining a leading global business with an excellent reputation for its excellent working environment and culture. The company is growing at an excellent rate and is developing its footprint by building a 'centre of excellence' in their recently acquired Manchester office.

Your new roleYou will be tasked initially to build a brand new qualified team, alongside supporting the Director of SSC in the transition from their already established UK based Shared Service Centre. This will include building a robust, disciplined control framework, driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance Reporting Hub service delivery model, and maintaining a continuous improvement environment by setting performance goals within the team. You will be the key decision maker in defining new ways of working alongside the Director of SSC and driving best practice around behaviours and the culture.

What you'll need to succeedYou will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with previous experience of dealing within complex accounting structures within a Share Service Centre. You'll have strong communication skills and be able to adapt and communicate with colleagues/stakeholders at various levels. You'll have a strong personality, produce competency and behaviour frameworks, with the ability to influence and drive decisions in a qualified team.
