Do you have a passion for supporting children’s learning and helping them reach their full potential?

TeacherActive are proud to be working with a welcoming Primary School in South Manchester that is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from January, with the potential for the role to become permanent after a 12-week trial period.

The successful candidate will work either 1:1 with a child with SEND or with small groups, supporting pupils across the primary age range to achieve their learning goals.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Support Work in Schools or Teaching Assistance (essential)
  • At least 6 months’ experience working in a UK Primary School (essential)
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis
  • Confidence in running interventions such as Phonics catch-up sessions or SALT - Speech and Language Therapy (desirable)
  • A positive, nurturing, and adaptable approach to supporting children’s learning and development
