Merchandising Administrator

**Would suit candidates with experience in a Merchandising, Buying or Imports function - those with Far East experience will be of particular interest**

This is an exciting time to join our client, a leading pet brand based in Manchester in an Administrator role.

The Role

To assist and report to the Merchandising & Production Controller in the running of the production department as well as providing additional day to day support to the sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and helping manage the critical path for product development
  • Tracking production to maintain scheduled delivery dates
  • Identifying production delays or stock issues and escalating to line manager
  • Liaising with suppliers in China on a daily basis
  • Collating samples and product information after product sign off to set up new SKUs
  • Checking artwork proofs and samples against design files
  • Arranging QC inspections and monitoring and checking reports
  • Supporting the sales team with day-to-day stock and order queries
  • Updating weekly reports with sales and stock figures
  • Regular communication internally with product development, design, photography and sales
  • Other ad hoc duties as required as required

About You:

  • Attention to detail
  • Strong level of numeracy
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Analytical and logical thinker
  • Highly organised, skilled at managing workload and prioritising tasks
  • Confident self-starter, with ability to differentiate when to use initiative and when to consult colleagues
  • Good verbal and written communicator, phone.
  • Comfortable using Outlook, Teams, Zoom
  • Experience in administration, data input or similar would be useful though not required.
