ATA are working closely with a leading design and manufacturer of bespoke and standard products for several sectors such as Energy, Oil & Gas, Construction, Industrial, and Environmental, with clients such JCB and Mitsubishi they have been at the forefront of technological advances for over 45 years.

Currently turning over £13 million pounds, they have a very robust order book and are looking to bring on more major names this year, to help manage the growth they are looking to hire a Project Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in Worcestershire.

This will be a fantastic opportunity for anyone who enjoys variation in their work, from design, project management to advising clients, you will have the autonomy to work on interesting and challenging individual projects.

You will have the chance to work with industry experts who will offer training and support to help you reach your individual goals and aspirations, along with an individual progression plan to help you excel in the role.

The Role:

As a Project Design Engineer you will be involved from inception to completion on both bespoke and standard projects, you will create the designs based on the client brief, liaise with internal departments including production to ensure the smooth completion of all projects.

The Project Design Engineers key responsibility will be to:

  • Work closely with the customer to create CAD models in 3D.
  • Create 2D drawings for manufacture.
  • Work out the technical requirements as well as costings on projects.
  • Work closely with production to ensure manufacturing accuracy.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and all internal departments.
  • Visit customers, and suppliers’ site to relay project progress and develop good business relations.

The Candidate:

To be successful in your application for the Project Design Engineer role you will need:

  • A Mechanical engineering qualification.
  • Proficient CAD software experience in both 2D and 3D
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise with customers and suppliers.
