General Restaurant Manager

We are seeking an individual with prior experience in managing a busy location characterized by high volume and iconic status, particularly someone who can drive sales and generate business, contributing to the success of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and be capable of working closely with the founders to achieve mutual goals.
The owner-operator is overseeing two locations in Middlesbrough. The growth of the business means we are looking to appoint a proactive restaurant General Manager who can lead by example and isn't someone that likes to sit still, you would need to be actively involved on the floor especially in the opening stages of the venture. The owner is a confident, hands-on individual, establishing a strong working relationship with them as the business expands is key. This role does include some nights and weekends.
Key Responsibilities General Restaurant Manager role:
·To lead the development of the entire Restaurant
Collaberate with the Head Chef to ensure everything runs smoothly
Collaborate with Bar manager
·To deliver positive results and achieve targets in line with budgets.
·Establish and drive a positive culture, inspires, guides and educates juniors
·Ensures a fully trained team regarding compliance and is personally fully trained, achieving above 95% on shield and food audits
··Manage our Front of House team including supporting recruitment, delivering performance reviews & leading training sessions.
··Determining staffing needs based on sales.
··Experienced in delivering high end service
·Creating bespoke local initiatives with the community and local advertising
·Have a genuine commitment to making people happy - guest and team alike – to ensure you have one of the happiest teams in the business and guests that turn into regulars and regulars into friends.
·Developing and enforcing brand standards in regard to feedback
·Fully accountable for the restaurant in terms of guest experience, finance, sales growth, legal compliance and team development both FOH and BOH.
·Manage and programme till and back office
·Up to date with industry trends and new concepts which can be incorporated into the Food Hall offerings
The right person:
·At least 4 years of leadership experience with a premium dining concept
·A real food expert is needed with a proven track record of successful restaurant development in luxury casual dining.
·Very strong strategic and operational capabiliities
·Successful track record of significant and quantifiable growth and profit achievements.

Salary banding is £50,000 per annum
