The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Geography Teacher to join our dedicated Humanities Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5. This role requires a teacher who can inspire and challenge students to achieve their full potential in Geography.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality geography lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and enhance learning outcomes.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behavior, standards of work, and homework.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events.
  • Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum and participate in curriculum activities.
  • Stay current with changes and developments in the subject area.


Requirements:

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, BEd, or equivalent) in Geography or a related subject.
  • A minimum of 6 months UK education experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum for Geography.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Enthusiasm, commitment, and flexibility.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
