The Role: As a Science Teacher in our partnered Secondary School, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education in the Sciences to students aged 11-16 years. Your responsibilities will include planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and informative lessons that adhere to the UK National Curriculum. You will be expected to create a stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity and a love for science among students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated science lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, while also providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum for Science and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Manage classroom behavior to ensure a conducive learning environment.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events as required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum changes that enhance the learning experience.
  • Continuously seek professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices and outcomes for students.

Requirements:

  • A UK recognized teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
  • A degree in Science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6 months teaching experience within the UK education system.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for Science.
  • Exceptional classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
