Finance Business Partner | West Bridgford | £45,000 - £50,000 | Hybrid 3/2 split

This role will see you move into an FP&A Manager role within 12 - 24 months.

A well-known high street retailer that has recently become a member of a massive international group based in Italy.

In this pivotal role, you will play a part in controlling selling costs within the whole P&L. Partnering closely with key corporate and local functions, you will ensure financial control and efficiency across various areas.

Role Overview:

  • Business Partnering: Foster robust relationships with senior stakeholders, collaborating closely with the marketing leadership team to oversee marketing spend, the Property and Facilities & Maintenance teams to manage occupancy costs, and the IT Director to control IT expenditure.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Take the lead on selling cost-specific budgeting and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Group Reporting: Assist in all aspects of group reporting, providing valuable insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Corporate Real Estate: Assume responsibility for Corporate Real Estate property approvals, contributing to effective cost management and operational efficiency.

Key Candidate Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business partnerships with key stakeholders, coupled with the confidence to challenge and influence as appropriate.
  • Proven experience in managing budgets and forecasts, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on achieving financial objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Highly organised with a high level of adaptability, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel is essential, with experience in reporting systems such as Essbase highly desired. Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment undergoing business change, demonstrating resilience and agility in overcoming challenges.
