A high growth consultancy business in Newcastle Upon Tyne that I'm delighted to be partnered with are looking to add a part qualified Management Accountant to their growing finance function.

Under the supervision of the EMEA Data Centre Business Controller, you will assist the project controlling team in managing the financial performance of EMEA Data Centre projects.

As the Management Accountant, your responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the offshore project accounting team (based in the Philippines) to ensure accurate project transactional finance activities, including billing and purchasing cycles.
  • Preparing timesheet man loaders for time and material recharge projects.
  • Handling subcontractors and subconsultants accruals on a monthly basis according to accounting rules.
  • Working with intercompany partners to accurately reflect project-specific intercompany transactions in group systems.
  • Supporting the EMEA Data Centre sector by resolving transactional finance queries promptly.
  • Recording business booked in company systems on a monthly basis.
  • Assisting project controllers in updating project master data in company systems.
  • Supporting the EMEA Data Centre Admin team in creating new projects when necessary.

Role Requirements:

  • Studying for a professional qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience, with at least 1 year in an equivalent role.
  • Good understanding of basic project accounting.
  • Previous experience in consulting or construction (although not essential).
  • Familiarity with international working and business operations within a global consultancy.
  • Commitment to ethical behaviour following the principles outlined in the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines of the Group.
  • Dynamic, resourceful, and proactive mindset.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Willingness to defend points of view and support your own opinions.
