Job Title: Civil Structural Engineer Manager
Salary: Circa 拢52,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Purpose:
The Civil Structural Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable maintenance and inspection regime of the departmental asset management as determined by the Principal Engineer & Head of Rail Infrastructure Maintenance. The role is pivotal in meeting the safety, legislative, operational, and performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Management Leadership:
路Deputise for the Head of Rail Infrastructure Maintenance as required.
路Undertake Stand By & On Call duties as part of the role.
路Provide corporate responsibilities as a member of the Infrastructure Team.
Asset Management:
路Manage planned and reactive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and inspections of the departmental asset management portfolio.
路Support Capital, Renewal & Major Projects Programme.
路Develop and manage the departmental strategic plan to ensure operational efficiency and safety compliance.
People Management:
路Establish training and competence needs and conduct workplace assessments and mentoring as a Civil Structural Engineer Manager.
Stakeholder Engagement:
路Maintain industry contacts to ensure informed decision-making.
路Liaise with other departments and external parties on asset management issues.
Compliance and Safety:
路Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, quality, and environmental management system requirements.
路Implement safety and assurance procedures in accordance with out Safety Management System.
Financial Management:
路Manage departmental budgets and control resources efficiently.
路Identify and achieve efficiency savings where possible.
Requirements to be a Civil Structural Engineer Manager:
路Minimum HNC or equivalent qualification in Civil, Structural, or Arboriculture Engineering.
路Extensive experience in civil, structural, and associated asset management.
路Strong leadership and communication skills.
路Ability to make informed decisions in line with safety and legislative requirements.
路Proficient in budget management and strategic planning.
