Finance Manager, Newcastle

£33k, Permanent role

Flexible - both part time and full time hours considered.

My client is a creative, community driven organisation based in Newcastle and they have an immediate requirement for a Finance Manager to join their small but incredibly busy team.

This busy finance function, is looking for an individual with fantastic communication skills, who is able to confidently manage and offer opinions and insights where required. Previous experience leading or managing a Team and meeting strict deadlines is a must.

Fantastic flexible working hours, this role is being offered as a hybrid option with the offices immersed in a creative and inspiring environment.

Some of the main responsibilities/aspects include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of financial systems and procedures
  • Preparation of reports including balance sheets and cash flow for meetings
  • Support and deliver accurate financial updates and information where required
  • Prepare year end accounts and assist auditors in all aspects
  • Process any adjustments required by auditors and successfully manage any impact on the years accounts
  • Periodically review financial systems including all processes and procedures within the organisation to ensure they are running efficiently and effectively
  • Prepare and reconcile information ready for quarterly VAT returns ensuring to process and adjustments required

Criteria:

  • Previous experience gained in a similar role would be advantageous
  • An interest in the arts would be beneficial
  • Ability to prioritise your workload and adjust accordingly
  • Attention to detail
  • Pro-active
  • Great adaptability
  • Confident use of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel
  • Previous use of Sage 200 and Sage 50 preferred but not essential
