Are you a highly skilled and experienced QHSE Manager looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity with one of the UK's leading manufacturers in the street lighting industry. Our client, a dynamic and innovative company is currently seeking a QHSE Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Salary: 45K - 50K DOE

As the QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) management system in line with ISO 9001 standards. Your expertise in electrical engineering, quality assurance, and health and safety will be essential in ensuring the company's products and operations meet the highest standards of excellence and compliance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Holding regular meetings with management to implement process improvements and promote quality.
  • Creating KPIs to measure and showcase quality performance.
  • Owning the Non-Conformance Register (NCR) and Corrective Action Request (CAR) process.
  • Collecting, analysing, and reporting quality, health, safety, and environment statistics for continuous improvement.
  • Auditing the shop floor for quality and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in collaboration with the production manager.
  • Providing leadership and guidance on safety-related matters in the office and factory.
  • Identifying and leading operational improvement projects to enhance safety and compliance.
  • Developing and delivering a comprehensive Health & Safety plan, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations.
  • Promoting sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives within the company.
  • Implementing an internal audit schedule and managing internal audits.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engagement across the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Electrical qualification, ideally as 18th edition.
  • Experience in panel wiring industry.
  • Qualified to QMS or QMR level.
  • NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety.
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety (desirable but not essential).
  • Quality assurance qualification or equivalent experience, ideally with ISO auditing experience.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
