We are looking for a Finance & Business Admin Lead for our client based in Newton Abbot. This role is temporary support to provide accurate and comprehensive financial and contracts administration.

Monday to Friday 09:00am - 17:00pm - this role is 32hrs a week, less would be considered.

This is a contract running from May until 19th July.

Duties will include:

  • Administering the raising of purchase orders, sundry debtor and cheque requests, co-ordinate collation of contract documents and maintain a contract register to verify that invoices are correct and reconcile accounts for the departmental purchasing card.
  • Manage the structure and security of SharePoint and Teams sites to ensure that documents are stored appropriately, avoiding duplication and conforming to data protection legislation.
  • Provide effective adminstrative support to the management team. To include organising internal and external meetings, events and workshop, prepare resources, and accurately record notes and actions.
  • Assist with the delivery of corporate projects and government funded schemes, collaborate with service areas across the authority as required to collate data and monitor actions.
  • Support HR processes such as recruitment, restructures, disciplinaries and grievances.
  • Provide day to day management of the Housing Team Support Officer.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

  • High standard of education with a NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience of working in Business Administration and managing process.
  • Ability to be highly organised with excellent analytical skills.
  • Expert knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Considerable experience of financial administration.
