Our client, a prominent South-West company, is currently seeking to appoint a dynamic Financial Accounting Manager to join their expanding team, on a full-time, permanent basis. This Financial Accounting Manager role provides a hybrid working arrangement, with three days based in the office and two days remote working from home.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Financial Accounting Manager is responsible for Overseeing the management and statutory accounts for the company's legal entities, ensuring adherence to financial governance, controls, legislation, and company policies, while also spearheading continuous improvement initiatives and ad-hoc projects.

The responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end, including reviewing collections targets, overseeing management accounts, preparing group reporting, scrutinising profit and loss statements, managing balance sheets, and approving accountant's journals.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance by overseeing balance sheets, conducting intercompany reconciliation, and managing the consolidation process.
• Handle VAT review and submission for the company and its entities by quarter-end.
• Coordinate and monitor the annual financial audit, including reviewing final statutory accounts, and oversee Corporation Tax Computations while monitoring payments on account.
• Direct cash flows and bank reporting, oversee KPI process, and lead initiatives to enhance and streamline finance processes and systems.
• Exhibit robust leadership and team management skills, driving motivation, mentorship, and development to attain organisational objectives.

The candidate:

• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is preferred.
• Proven experience in financial accounting.
• Strong IFRS knowledge.
• Strong financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset.
