Estimator/H&S/QC Manager (Newton Abbot)

Location:  Heathfield, Newton Abbot.  We are currently recruiting for an experienced Estimator/H&S/QC Manager to join our team at Heathfield, with an immediate start for the right individual with the right skill sets and capabilities.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Estimate bulk material handling projects within the aggregate processing industry (main aspect of the role)
  • H&S and QC abilities advantageous as secondary function of job role
  • Working under the guidance of senior manager at Heathfield 
  • Attend site visits and liaise with clients to interpret their scope requirements
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings from CAD models
  • Populate estimating data into our companies estimating systems
  • Provide cost analysis against as built / actual costs
  • Track, cost and handle all variations to contract from estimate to order status
  • Weekly management reporting to team and peers
  • Provide order details for materials from stockholders, suppliers etc.

The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of bulk material handling equipment including conveyors, crushers, screens, feeders etc, within the quarrying industry.   We are looking for someone who is versatile and focused on delivering high-quality work, with an honest, flexible and proactive work ethic.  You will need to be computer literate, with excellent communication and presentation skills.  A knowledge and respect for relevant health & safety requirements is important.  A current driving licence is required, due to some of the site locations.
