About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Housing Officer to join our team on a temporary basis. This role involves delivering high-quality, customer-focused housing management services across a designated patch of properties. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring tenants are supported, properties are maintained, and tenancy agreements are upheld.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a responsive and customer-focused housing management service across a designated area.

  • Assess tenant needs and make appropriate referrals to relevant support services.

  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and enforce tenancy and lease conditions, addressing breaches where necessary.

  • Investigate and manage incidents of anti-social behaviour.

  • Assist the Lettings Coordinator in achieving target re-let times for void properties.

  • Conduct property inspections to ensure they are maintained to a satisfactory standard.

  • Carry out pre-tenancy interviews with prospective tenants.

  • Organise, attend, and contribute to resident meetings, providing guidance and support.

  • Identify and act on safeguarding concerns, including domestic abuse, child protection, public protection, and the welfare of vulnerable adults.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across all relevant databases.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar housing or tenancy management role.

  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

  • Enhanced DBS check.
