MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Newton Aycliffe, by recruiting a permanent Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join their organisation. A successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and pragmatic development, implementation and improvement of quality systems to ensure full compliance with all customer, and internal requirements, whilst facilitating consistent adherence to regulatory requirements.

The Job You’ll Do;

  • Define targets and continuously improve the company’s overall quality function to exceed customer expectations in product quality, delivery and responsiveness.
  • Manage and develop the QHSE team in line with the company’s value and behaviours.
  • Work with Engineering, Production, Operations and Supply Chain to ensure that all product, process and legal requirements are defined and met.
  • Improve and maintain the company’s QMS, procedures, control plans, operating instructions and records to meet the above.
  • Define the company’s audit programme to cover supplier management, incoming goods, internal products and process conformity.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects and using CI tools and train others in the use of these tools (Six Sigma etc).

About You;

  • Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years’ in a Senior QA role in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Health & Safety Management.
  • Certified Lead Auditor ISO:9001.
  • Experience in ISO:14001 & ISO:45001.
  • IOSH level 3 Certificate.
  • NEBOSH Certificate.
  • Experience in Continuous improvement projects and CI Tools (Six Sigma/Kaizen).
  • Experience in developing and maintaining QMS systems.
