Hybrid role -3 days in Northallerton office(commutable from Leeds/York/ Middlesbrough area)
Commercial Underwriting experience is essential.
The role is to manage a small MGA, which is part of a global (re)insurance group.
The position is like a mini Branch Manager role so will be overseeing a team of ten people to include a Head of Sales and a technical underwriting head. The team specialise within Farm insurance but candidates really don't have to have come from this field - a general P&C background is fine.
The role is focused on leading and developing a cohesive team; building and delivering of the operational underwriting function; providing input on the underwriting and pricing strategy; building technical excellence and delivering profit and income targets.

It would suit someone who wants to move into this type of role and gain the experience of managing an MGA/Branch, or someone who has done this role and is just looking for a new challenge.
