Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Senior Contracts Lawyer in Northampton. This is a contract without a scope for extension working full time hours. The employer can offer mostly remote working, with very infrequent office visits
The job:
- The effective and efficient preparation and processing in a timely manner of all legal documents (including contracts, agreements, deeds, notices, orders and consents)
- Preparation of precedents and checklists and standard forms and the development and implementation of the organisation's corporate governance framework.
- Develop and implement procedures for procurement policy and strategies.
- Conduct and manage a wide ranging caseload of both straightforward and complex legal work, with a bias towards Contracts, Procurement and Partnerships.
- Advise and attend partnership and other interagency meetings and case conferences as required, including provision of advice and assistance in the preparation of protocols, policies and procedures.
The candidate:
- Must be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- Previous experience in a similar role within the public sector is preferred
- Knowledge of JCT & NEC contracts is preferred
