Electrical Maintenance Engineer

KAP Technical are working with a global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services.

Due to sustained growth and increased product demand, Our client is looking to recruit team players with a positive can-do attitude. Practical, hands on, good communication skills, with a willingness to work flexibly and attention to good housekeeping.

Working in a fast-paced manual environment, the role is to

  • maintain, service and repair all machinery used in the manufacturing process on site
  • minimise production down time.
  • maintaining a high standard of housekeeping
  • Conduct PPM’s when required.
  • Ideally you will have a manufacturing background, but it is not essential.
  • Apprentice trained, electrically qualified as a minimum.
  • Ability to read engineering diagrams/drawings, and control circuits/schematics.
  • Experience with DC/AC Drives, electrical hoists, and 3 phase motors.
  • Experience with safety and light circuits, inverters, PLC systems, relays, and speed control systems.
  • Experience with working with sensors.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic control systems is advantageous.
  • A mechanical understanding of gearboxes, pumps, and pneumatics would be advantageous.
  • Ability to prioritise and plan effectively, while working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
