Our client is looking to recruit an Engineering Cell Technician reporting to the Engineering Team Leader on 37.5 hours, split between 5 days per week.

Working within the engineering department the key responsibility for providing a pro-active, innovative performance and reliability focused engineering service to the Site's Operations Team. A role model promoting our client's Health & Safety commitment and vision statement. The individual will be responsible for providing effective short- and long-term solutions to continuously improve machine reliability and therefore actively contributing as part of the engineering team to achieve business targets and key performance criteria.

Key job requirements

  • Working alongside the shift Engineers driving SAP usage, reporting, adherence and communicating all outstanding actions across the Engineering and Production teams.
  • Ensure the SAP system is consistently and regularly populated with “up to date” relevant information for review during maintenance meetings.
  • Assist in the support and development of the engineering preventative maintenance strategy to improve health and safety, guarantee quality, reduce waste, optimise productivity, and improve MTBF whilst reducing MTTR.
  • Implement and endorse preventative / predictive maintenance systems, tools, and ideas (SAP PM).
  • Day to day involvement in the scheduling of all mechanical & electrical engineering activities and provide support/coaching for the shift engineers.
  • Develop engineering, corrugator, and process knowledge through their OS manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with all H&S, Environmental (HSE), and quality procedures ensuring that any anomalies are reported through the EM immediately.
  • To provide advice on the serviceability (or unserviceability) status of their mechanical systems and services to the EM, Ops M and to other primary users of associated equipment.
  • Implementation of purchase requisitions in line with their scheduled maintenance and projects, ensuring that budgetary constraints are not compromised and impact on cash-flow is minimised.
  • Strive to ensure all engineering department KPI's are met at all times.
  • Be available for out of hours call outs.
