Engineering Office/Admin Manager
Location: Northampton | Salary: Around 40,000 (Negotiable) | Hours: Mon-Thurs 8:00-17:00, Fri 8:00-13:00

Are you a highly organised and proactive leader with experience in office administration within an engineering or manufacturing environment? Our client is looking for an Engineering Office/Admin Manager to join their team and lead their administration function in a busy, fast-paced facility based in Northampton.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for managing a small team handling key administrative tasks that support both the commercial and engineering sides of the business. You'll ensure smooth day-to-day operations, maintain accurate data records, and deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the admin team to ensure effective performance across all tasks.

  • Oversee Sales Order Processing and ensure timely, accurate customer communication via phone and email.

  • Manage Purchase Order processing and expedite orders to meet production timelines.

  • Provide administrative support to the Maintenance Department.

  • Maintain accurate data records relating to deliveries, maintenance, and other key operations.

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in a manufacturing or engineering office environment.

  • Experience in Health & Safety processes within a production setting (desirable).

  • Familiarity with automotive industry requirements and IATF16949 standards (advantageous).
