Position: Accountant Location: Norwich Type: Full-time

Position Overview: Our client is in search of a dedicated Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be part-qualified or fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with experience working in a practice environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and advancement within their firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare year-end financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns for clients in accordance with tax regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and provide advice on VAT-related matters.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to clients to improve their financial performance.
  • Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex accounting and tax issues.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a practice environment is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of UK and tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
