A leading and rapidly expanding acoustic consultancy is seeking a Junior Acoustic Consultant to join its growing team in Norwich. This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious acoustic professional with early experience in environmental or building acoustics to accelerate their career within a supportive, high-performing consultancy.

As a Junior Acoustic Consultant, you'll support the delivery of noise surveys, acoustic assessments, technical reporting, and client interaction across a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the East of England. The company offers exceptional progression, structured development, and strong encouragement toward completing the IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conducting environmental noise surveys and building acoustics assessments

  • Preparing high-quality technical reports and noise impact assessments

  • Supporting acoustic modelling and data analysis

  • Liaising with clients, planners, contractors, and local authorities

  • Assisting senior acousticians on complex project delivery

  • Supporting bids, proposals, and business development activities

Required skills & experience:

  • Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar

  • 1-2 years' experience in environmental or building acoustics

  • Strong technical writing and communication skills

  • Understanding of BS4142, BS8233, and planning-related guidance

  • Desire to work toward (or currently studying for) the IOA Diploma

  • Full UK driving licence
