Job Title: Junior Acoustic Consultant
Location: Norwich
Salary: 30,000-40,000 + Benefits

An established and fast-growing acoustic consultancy is looking for a Junior Acoustic Consultant to join its expanding Norwich team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career acoustics professional to develop their skills within a supportive, highly regarded organisation.

In this role, you'll contribute to the delivery of noise surveys, acoustic assessments, data analysis, technical reporting, and client communication across a wide range of projects throughout the East of England. The company provides clear career progression, structured training, and strong support toward achieving the IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out environmental noise surveys and building acoustics assessments

  • Produce high-quality technical reports and noise impact assessments

  • Assist with acoustic modelling and data interpretation

  • Engage with clients, planners, contractors, and local authorities

  • Support senior team members on complex projects

  • Contribute to bids, proposals, and general business development



Required skills & experience:

  • Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • 2-5 years' experience in environmental or building acoustics

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of BS4142, BS8233, and relevant planning guidance

  • Motivation to complete (or currently working toward) the IOA Diploma

  • Full UK driving licence
