Exciting new opportunity to join The AF Group as Energy Procurement Manager.  This key role will lead and develop a team, shape energy procurement strategy and focus on building strong procurement relationships with suppliers.  The AF group is UK’s largest agricultural buying group providing essential value added procurement services and advisory work for the UK’s agricultural community.  Located just outside Norwich, The AF Group have an award winning, people focused culture with a firm commitment to personal development, team ethos and an advanced ESG strategy.  Duties and Responsibilities
  • To assist the Head of Utilities in leading the Energy team in delivering a seamless end-to-end member journey. 
  • To proactively identify new business opportunities for AF, and work towards increasing member commitment and growing volumes
  • Using your extensive knowledge of the Energy industry, proactively work towards future volume growth budgets.
  • Contribute to business plan and budget forecasting, reporting on performance through monthly board reports and weekly Energy reports.
  • Manage and develop the team to encourage a high performance and relationships led procurement culture
  • Implement a continuous improvement mindset within the energy processes and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate and implement procurement strategies deemed suitable for product area.
Role Requirements:
  • Commercially focused with strong business acumen and effective negotiation skills
  • Data analysis and presentation skills
Experience 
  • People Management experience
  • Demonstrable experience of procuring Energy and/or within the energy industry
  • In depth knowledge of energy markets and pricing
This role offers a salary of up to £65,000 plus a car allowance along with a very comprehensive additional benefits package including: 
  • 8% employer pension contribution
  • 26 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays. This rises with each years service by an additional day, up to 7 extra days
