The Business & Opportunity:

Fantastic opportunity to join an owner managed entrepreneurial family business operating across both the property and automotive sectors. They require someone on a part-time basis for 24 hours per week with working hours that best suit you. You will be based from their prestigious and impressive offices on the North West side of Leeds, (Otley), easily commutable from Harrogate, Bradford and Leeds.

Requirement:

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will carry out a hands-on, all-encompassing Company Accountant role, taking full responsibility for the entire finance function. This will include:

  • Preparation and reporting of monthly and year end management accounts.
  • Assist in preparation of statutory accounts and liaising with external accountants.
  • Cash flow management and forecasts.
  • Managing the month end process and timescales, dealing with financial paperwork.
  • Maintenance of general ledger, dealing with financial paperwork.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • VAT returns.
  • Management of fixed assets and business park ongoing development.
  • Purchase ledger & sales ledger.
  • Monthly Payroll.
  • Company Secretary duties.
  • Comply with internal and external financial policies, standards, and controls.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Either Qualified by Experience or Part/Fully Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ACMA.
  • Likely to have worked in an SME, where you have performed a varied role.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, excellent communicator and a good eye for detail.
  • Commercially astute with a pro-active attitude to be able to analyse problems and help with decisions making.
  • A working knowledge of Sage is essential. 

What's On Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £35,000 - £42,000 (Full Time Equivalent).

  • Flexible hours to suit, e.g. 3 full days, or shorter hours spread over 4 or 5 days.
