responsible for the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns for a portfolio of clients.

DAY TO DAY (KEY) RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Completion of VAT returns
• Preparation of management accounts, including maintenance of sales, purchase and nominal ledgers as required
• Taking responsibility for ensuring clients and HMRC deadlines are met by managing your own and your clients’ time effectively
• Raising draft invoices for director/partner approval
• Assisting with the implementation of procedures for new assignments
• Reviewing input from junior members of the team, where this forms part of your own assignment

CLIENT BASE:

You will be responsible for approximately 20-30 micro/small clients on a mixture of weekly/monthly/quarterly basis, and will include sole traders, partnerships, charities, and small limited companies.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• At least 3 years previous experience preparing VAT returns and management accounts (ideally in practice)
• AAT qualified or first tier ACCA qualification
• Able to use Xero, Sage 50 Accounts, QuickBooks, and Excel
