Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young learners? Are you committed to providing exceptional support in a dynamic educational environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Full-Time Teaching Assistant in a mainstream primary school in Oxford, Oxfordshire.

The role will vary in year groups you will work with, but will be majority KS2 based.

As a Full-Time Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process within the school. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with additional learning needs.
  • Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Supporting students in their social and emotional development.
  • Collaborating with the teaching staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Helping to assess students' progress and providing feedback to the class teacher.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to student records and classroom resources.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their educational and personal development.
  • Flexibility to work with different year groups and adapt to varying classroom environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Basic knowledge of classroom technology and the ability to assist students with their educational technology needs.
  • A relevant qualification in Teaching Assistance or Education is desirable but not essential.
