Sarah McKenna HR is pleased to be partnering with a highly regarded client in the Education sector, in their search for an experienced HR Advisor to join their dynamic People team based in County Durham.

Are you an experienced HR generalist with confidence in employee relations? Are you an organized and self-motivated HR professional who can build trusted relationships with stakeholders? If so, this could be the role for you!

As an HR Business Partner, you'll play a pivotal role in the People team, collaborating closely with the HR Director and various departments across three sites to deliver a proactive and supportive generalist HR service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with designated departments, offering expert advice on employee matters, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and attendance management.
  • Coach and develop managers in HR skills, ensuring compliance with HR policies.
  • Support and manage casework related to conduct, capability, and attendance concerns.
  • Lead College-wide projects focusing on health and wellbeing, equality, diversity, inclusion, and staff development.
  • Oversee recruitment and staffing requirements within your designated areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements of education and HR.

Qualifications and Experience:

The client requires a candidate with a degree-level qualification, CIPD qualified to a minimum of Level 5, and proven experience in an HR role dealing with complex casework and ER issues.
