At Babcock we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Project Manager at our Devonport Royal Dockyard site.

The role
As a Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a suite of projects across the Devonport site for all aspects of the infrastructure upgrades currently occurring on site.

Day-to-day, you'll run various projects relating to the major infrastructure upgrades.

  • Manage a suite of projects across Devonport for all aspects of the infrastructure upgrades currently occurring on site.
  • Updating programmes.
  • Financially managing each project through all stages of its process.

This role is full time 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Project Manager

  • Good knowledge of APM philosophy and an advanced user of Microsoft Office suite software.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to deal with senior management and both Babcock and MOD senior stake holders.
  • Significant experience within a project management function and the delivery of infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrate a high level of organisation with the ability to self-manage and produce information and output reports with little guidance.

Qualifications for the Project Manager

  • Foundation degree in an engineering or project management subject.
  • Appropriate APM qualification. This may however be formally wavered for a period depending on the level of experience in role and specific capability.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
