Dangerous Goods Coordinator- Reading- Up to 40,000 (DOE)

Our Client is seeking a confident, Dangerous goods Coordinator to join their team. Taking guidance from the team Lead, you will coordinate delivery of individual jobs for customers, collaborate with stakeholders and trade experts to create the best options for the execution of a job & anticipating potential issues that may arise. You will maintain excellent relationships with both external and internal stakeholders which is an integral to provide a professional end to end service. You will act as the first point of contact for sales enquiries for existing customers and new enquiries, identifying opportunities to optimise resources and maximise revenue.

Job Type- Permanent

Salary - up to 40,000 (DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • As a successful dangerous goods Coordinator will act as the first point of contact and filter for sales enquiries for existing customers and new enquiries, identifying opportunities to optimise resource and maximise revenue.
  • Coordinate sales enquiries through to invoicing ensuring adherence to agreed customer and company KPIs
  • Sales Processing and Administration
  • Preparing quotes for services - start to finish Operations.
  • Processing and administrating sales is an important aspect of any business operation
  • Book, plan and monitor international shipments using Freight Management System and Carrier portals - in accordance with the rules and regulations that apply to that area of the world and to the goods consigned
  • Use data systems to prepare and submit the information required by customs authorities as part of the management of the international movement of goods

  • Building a solution to carry out the job, collaborating with the wider team

Requirements:

  • A Minimum of 2 Years' experience as an operations coordinator working for a UK based transport or freight forwarding company
  • Experience in Air, Sea and/or Road for a UK based freight forwarder
  • Has experience as a DGSA or equivalent would be highly desirable for this position (Ideally qualified in Class 1 and Class 7)
