They now require a dedicated Assembly Technician who will be responsible for configuring their machine-learning powered plug sockets, as well as picking, packing and shipping. Key Responsibilities of the Assembly Technician
- Configuration of plug sockets: programming the smart sockets with wifi codes via a PC
- Screwing assemblies together using small components
- Wiring and securing small wiring harnesses together
- Picking, packing and shipping
- Cycle counts/keeping track of stock
Skills/Attributes Required in the Assembly Technician
- Aptitude for practical, hands-on work with small components
- Comfortable with technology (and ideally with an interest in smart technology)
- Ability to identify assembly issues when they arise
- Health and Safety awareness
- Intermediate skills on Excel
- Highly numerate
- Good communication, able to think for themselves and a high level of common sense
- Someone who wants to grow with the team and be a true team player
