Opus People Solutions are excited to recruit on behalf of Redditch Borough Council for an experienced temporary Cook based at St. David's House

The role is to cater for approximately 30/40 mid-day meals and refreshments as agreed by the Manager, make sure service are delivered to a high standard, and that set policies and procedures are adhered to, prepare weekly menu.

Pay rate:

12.21 per hour

Location:

Redditch B97 6PG

Length of contract: 3 months with review for extension

Main duties:

To plan and prepare menus that include provision of special diets.

To be responsible for arranging all aspects of the kitchen including the cleaning, equipment, storage, preparation cooking of food and waste disposal.

To update, maintain an inventory of equipment and ensure it is regularly checked for safety and quality.

To train Assistant Cooks and relief staff to the standards of kitchen duties required

To complete all checks and recording complying with Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Regulations.

To attend and participate fully in relevant team meetings, training courses, staff appraisal schemes and staff development programmes

The successful Chef will have:

Experience in a busy kitchen environment

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Willingness to learn and grow

Flexibility to work on rotating shift pattern

Working pattern:

Week 1 - Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday

Week 2 - Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
