SEN Playworker

SEN Playworker – Weekends – 9.30am – 4.30pm (ASAP) 

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or SEN Playworker, looking for some extra work on weekends? 

SENCare Recruitment is currently seeking SEN Playworkers to work on Saturday and Sunday's in Reigate, Surrey.  

The ideal SEN Playworker must have:

• At least 6 months experience supporting students with Autism and complex needs. 
• A clear DBS on the update service
• Some PECs and Makaton experience
• Experience with children aged 4-19 
• Moving and handling experience
• A compassionate and fun attitude towards work 

Main duties: 

• Providing 1-1 support for vulnerable children with their schoolwork and activities such as baking, visits to the local farm, cinema, swimming and games.
• As a SEN Playworker you will work closely with other members of staff to ensure all safeguarding procedures are met to ensure the safety of the children is not compromised. 
• To liaise with senior members of staff to ensure all sensory expectations are met for each individual child.
