WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU? 
  • Hourly pay between £14.36 - £15.38 (based on experience)
  • 6-month temporary position (option to extend)
  • Flexible 37.5 working hours Monday to Friday between 8.00am to 6.00pm
  • 23 days annual leave + bank holidays

  THE BUSINESS Our client who are based in Northumberland is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their finance team. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company. From processing invoices to assisting with financial reporting, you will contribute to the smooth functioning of our finance department. This role presents an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in finance to develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.  THE ROLE 
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Process invoices
  • Payments
  • Expense reports accurately and efficiently
  • Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments.
  • General Administrative Support
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team
  • Filing documents,
  • Organising records
  • Responding to inquiries from internal stakeholders.
 THE PERSON 
  • Previous working experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Officer or similar role which covers the core responsibilities of the position
  • Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, Xero)
  • Organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to identify numerical errors
